About Our School

Rev. Simon Ampofo envisioned Gracefields Academy as part of Gracefields Evangelistic Ministries in August 2010. The school officially began operations in 2018 at its current location, Grace House Adum in Kumasi.

On May 2nd, 2018, Gracefields Academy held its first opening ceremony, a modest gathering of fewer than ten attendees. This team included the pioneer staff members: Mrs. Cynthia Behome (Supervisor), Ms. Eunice Fosu (Lead Tutor), and Preschool Consultant Mrs. Korboe. The school's first enrolled student was 11-month-old Joel Wilson, marking the start of an impactful journey.

Like many institutions worldwide, Gracefields Academy faced a challenging period during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the loss of an academic year. However, with gratitude for God's mercy, the school resumed operations in January 2021 and continues to provide quality education.

 Since its inception, Gracefields Academy has admitted children aged 3 months to 5 years, guiding them through preschool and kindergarten. Approximately 40% of graduates have transitioned to Ridge School and other prestigious institutions within the Kumasi metropolis, reflecting the quality of education offered.

In 2022, Gracefields Academy received a license from the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) for Basic Education in Ghana. Starting in September 2025, the academy will expand its admissions to include classes from creche through to Class One, in alignment with its commitment to growing and nurturing young minds.

Gracefields Academy is currently overseen by a dedicated board of trustees, including Rev. Mrs. Pearl Ampofo, Miss Yaa Agyeiwaa Owusu, Dr. Ama Amuasi, and Mr. Isaac Gyeabour. The school’s headmistress, Miss Alberta Naana Frimpong, leads with vision and commitment to uphold the academy's values and mission.
